Concept development and feasibility assessments for proposed property developments along the Letaba River Mile in Tzaneen.

LNDC
Feasibility study for the development of an industrial estate in Maseru, Lesotho. The study culminated in a bankable feasibility report to be used to obtain funding for the project and included various 20-year scenarios and financial projections for the phased roll-out of the estate.

Dhofar region, Oman
An extensive feasibility study for a proposed mixed-use resort in the Dhofar region, in the south of Oman, comprising a site assessment, market and financial analysis, resort design, business plan, identification of development partners and selection of an operator. The study incorporated a large number of proposed components including hotels, chalets, retail, golf course, water theme park and recreational facilities (island tours, scuba-diving, deep-sea fishing, and community craft development and sales outlets).

Multi-use precinct – Jabi Lake Precinct, Nigeria
A comprehensive feasibility study for a multifunctional mixed use property development in the Jabi district of Abuja, Nigeria. The project incorporated residential and commercial (leisure and retail) components i.e. a large shopping precinct (including both niche stores and chain outlets), hotels, hotel-apartments, residential apartment buildings, and a large Waterfront type entertainment area with restaurants, bars, movie theatres, etc.

Various 2010 FIFA World Cup stadiums
Viability studies for the development of new and upgrading of existing sports stadia (and in some cases also residential, office and retail precincts surrounding the stadia) in 9 cities in South Africa to stage matches for the 2010 FIFA World Cup. The studies involved determining the appropriate sizing for the stadia and then estimating the financial and social impacts that flow from the development of the stadia for the Cities and the Country.

Extensive market research (large consumer surveys and focus groups) to inform the demand projections and resulting sizing for the Ushaka Marine World Theme Park in Durban, KwaZulu-Natal.

Maccon
Extensive concept testing and primary research across 300 households for a proposed new Residential Estate Development. This research identified the perception of estate dwelling, the potential of buying into an estate, the lifestyle requirements of the estate dweller, etc.

Sandford Estates
Financial feasibility assessment for a proposed upscale 100-200 villa golf estate with an 18 hole signature golf course, luxury hotel, as well as a health and fitness centre in Hazyview, Mpumulanga.

Pixley World, Genius Business Systems
Feasibility study and market assessment for the development of a multi-use themed property development near Johannesburg. The development was to include a hotel complex, educational centre, museums, shopping centres, residential golf estates, themed commercial and retail developments and a theme park.

The study involved primary research within communities to determine the impacts of the proposed game reserve on people that live and work in the area, culminating in an implementation plan to mitigate the effects of the game reserve on the residents of the area.

JDA – Greater Ellispark precinct
Comprehensive marketing strategy for the Greater Ellispark precinct (the destination as well as the regeneration project itself) together with Lesoba Difference. The Ellispark precinct includes – amongst others – sport, residential, educational and heritage components.

Culemborg Film Studio
Assistance to the team in preparing a bid for a Western Cape Film Studio for the Culemborg precinct, including a broad survey to determine the demand for the establishment of a film/media and related industries precinct on the Culemborg site as well as a broad assessment to determine the extent and success of the establishment of television, production, advertising and other related industries in a film/media cluster.
