Bottomline Winter 2010 - Grant Thornton

We are pleased to announce that the 2010 Winter edition of The Bottomline is now available for download from our website.

Our first edition of the year looks ahead to some of the issues around sustainability. When we started planning this edition of the Bottom line, the editorial team had a lively discussion about pertinent economic and business issues of the day. Sustainability emerged as the “golden thread”.

The 2010 FIFA World Cup became a huge focal point and South Africa was placed on a global stage as it hosted the event. People, however, started to question what the long-term benefits would be?

It’s no longer just about the bottom line, it’s about creating a legacy for future generations and stakeholders. We have addressed some of the relevant insights and have also included some thoughts from our clients.

In this edition we take a closer look at:

  • Dealing with a bigger crisis
  • Managing your business through tough times
  • Is there life after 2010?
  • To audit or not to audit?
  • South Africa cautiously optimistic
  • Is the golden goose threatened by extinction
  • The Clientline
  • The Chatline
